What is My5?
My5 is a popular feature available from many wireless
service providers. It may vary from provider-to-provider but
allows you to make unlimited talk and text to any five
people. However with the good comes the bad. If you call
someone who is not part of your My5, you must pay additional
charges. And you will still end up with those wonderful
surprise telephone bills which you tried to escape in the
first place.
Roger's My5 features are as follows:
Allows you to send/receive unlimited local calls, unlimited
text messages, picture and video messages, to/from 5
Canadian-based phone numbers of your choice. It may be any
landline or wireless number on any network.
What is VoiP?

Low cost. If you have a broadband Internet connection (DSL
or cable), you can make PC-to-PC phone calls anywhere in the
world for free. If you wish to make a PC-to-phone
connection, there's usually a charge for this but probably
much cheaper than your regular phone service.
You can pay as you go or you can sign up with VividVoicetel
(1-877-507-1400) service provider and pay 30.00/month
including tax.
So what is included?
Voice mail or call answer The Major competitor charges
around $ 7.00 for voice mail for a land line and $6.00 for

call screening is available it allows you to see who is

Portability. You can take your cheap phone service with you
and make and receive phone calls wherever there is a
broadband connection simply by signing in to your VOIP
account. This makes VOIP as convenient as e-mail. The cost
for this adapter is $60.00 but if you pay for your
vividvoicetel service for 1 year in advance, they will throw
it into the deal.
If you are traveling, simply pack a headset and use your
laptop plugged into the Internet, or plug a VOIP phone
directly into the Internet connection and you can talk to
your family or business associates for almost nothing. If
you don't have a VOIP phone, use an analog terminal adaptor
(ATA) to connect a regular phone to the Internet. Today you

What is the difference between a voice-over IP and a regular
land line?
Making a call by voice-over IP, means that you are making a
call through the internet. Making a call by land line means
that you are making a call by a telephone line.
What is the Vivid Voice system?

What are the advantages of getting an IP phone over a
regular home phone
Vivid Voice is a new Voip or VOICE OVER IP company where you
can talk over the internet without using a computer. All you
need is a small device called an ATA where you can buy
practically anywhere and costs around $50.00 Canadian.
The fee for the phone per month is 30.00 and comes with 1
ext. which I will explain later on. Other than the ATA you
do not need any special equipment because you can use your
own phone system.
However if you want to go HI tech you can buy a Voip (Voice
Over IP) phone which will do all kinds of things for you
which I will explain later.
BUT HOW DO YOU GET AWAY FROM BELL OR ROGERS OR TELLUS ? You
see , what you are probably unaware of is you actually own
your number. Once you "get hooked" and everyone knows your
number then you feel helpless to change to another system
and if you have a business it is even worse because like me,
I have had the same number for over 20 years. But you don't
have to worry about that anymore.
My problem was that I had several companies and all kinds of
great phone numbers and one was a cell phone 416 333 3278
which I have been paying for for 15 years because it is such
a great number I didn't want to loose it. 333FAST is about

who allows an individual to make calls without a voice plan
(or free calls, really) through a Wifi system. This is a
revolutionary system that the big companies such as Rogers
don't want you to know about because they'd lose money. Why?
Because instead of having both a phone and a data plan, you
may make call by simply having just a data plan. This will
cost around $30 a month as oppose to the $80 you'd be paying
with both plans (the data and voice plan combined). This
plan will include all the features that the big guys are
making you pay for such as caller ID, call forwarding, voicemail, etc.

ATA or Analog Telephony Adaptor which is $60. If you can
