I love Engineering
"When it seemingly cannot be done,
For me it is the most fun!"*

I did not engineer the machines. I came up with the ideas for them and my dad and his team did the engineering. Together with my father we changed the face of Vulcan Equipment and the world where these machines were being made. When Burney Alm died, the original owner of Vulcan, his kids took over and within 5 years screwed up that company. I predicted 6 years. My dad and I were good at what we did and we made it look easy but with every successful product there are many hours of prototyping even though the only thing I ever made which I did not have a prototype for was my Urban ASSAULT VEHICLE. Even the Famous "cradle snatcher" started out as a model. I kept the original model because it is cool that I designed it when I was 15 or 16.

| Here is a picture of it. this was in it's original form. We found that my swing arms were not versatile enough and that is when my dad came up with an alternative) mounted on the back of a toy truck. And the boom arms which I originally designed were replaced by yellow belts which held a "cradle that my dad also designed. My cradle was too simple but my dad made it better. And it changed the towing industry forever. The way I drew it on paper with the exception of the arms, turned out exactly how I drew it with no engineering experience. |

Later they became more elaborate fancier and bigger and they became the cash cow for Vulcan. Want to see more about the evolution of the tow truck? Click here.

| Let me just say, I love to solve problems and the more
impossible it is, the more fun it is for me. I am one of those
few people who can dream, sketch, design, prototype, make
improvements, redesign and fabricate from just about any material.
I am also very good with people and those who cannot express themselves well. I have done clinical Engineering in the states and worked with ED Prentky of Prenky Romac.
