Tools
- A utility knife with a lockable blade
- A few sharp pencils (do not use
a Some inks in some pens do not let you paint over them easily)
- A carpenters square or a Drywall "t"
square. Ask what they are at Home Hardware at Yonge
and St. Clair
- A hole saw
- A chalk line
- A pencil sharpener
- A measuring tape with inches on it only.
Don't confuse yourself!!!
- A rasp and/or Heavy Duty sandpaper
on a block of wood.
- A broom
- Dust pan
- Vacuum (commercial)
- Dust extractor
- Mask
- Safety Glasses
- Variable powered Battery operated screw
gun with a Phillips head in it or a drywall gun, or a regular drill
with a "dimpler" attachment on it. I will provided you
with a picture of this "dimpler" when I have time.
- Putty Knife 4"
- Petty knife 12"
- Mixing paddle for the drywall compound
- Tin snips for cutting the corner bead
- Rubber gloves - so when you are done,
you will not have any mud on your hands
- Hand or pole sander (if you have one
that hooks up to a commercial vacuum - that is the best.) Drywall
sanding makes lots of dust.

- Mud or Drywall compound (buy more than
what you think you need)
- Drop sheets
- Drywall mesh (you can use paper if you
know how but mesh is easier) (comes in a roll)
- Corner bead (those metal things that
go onto the corners
- Heavy duty Garbage bags
- Extra blades for your knives
- Painters tape to tape off areas with
plastic you are not working in
- Don't forget to have a first-aid box.
Even skilled people cut themselves. Be very careful.
