Let's look at a typical example:

You need a fax machine and buy one for $600 because the sales guy told you it is easy to install much later only to realize that your computer came with one, but you didn't know.  So the STRESS-O-METER starts. So, the phone rings and your computer picks it up and you look for your fax on the new fax machine, that you bought.  You can't find the fax in the place where it should be because it isn't there!  Then the Stress-o-meter starts to climb.  So you call the guy who sent you the fax to tell him his machine is not working.  All the while  someone tries to call you but your fax is switched on and no one can leave a message.
