The time starts when I arrive at your building or house, and it stops when I have finished  putting all my the tools  back in my van.  Sometimes on bigger jobs I will just leave my tools  at the job site to save time because I do not want to waste your money. My hourly rates does not include the cost of materials such  as screws, silicone, brackets or other such things.

 

I am very organized, I show up on time, call, if I will be late, don't touch what I don't know and refer to others what I do not do.  Most importantly  I will put a smile on your face, because I will save you lots of hassle by telling you only what needs to be done and how it should be done even if I don't do it.   You do not pay for travel time too and from  the job unless I am picking up materials for you.  The time starts when I arrive at your building your house. If you make space for me on your driveway or in front of your house, I can be more efficient for you.  I don't like to waste time.  You will never find me standing around doing nothing.  I even have a digital timer, which I start, when I arrive at your  house or building.  If I sit down to have lunch, I stop the timer.

The first hour or less is $75.00/hr for my time plus expenses (screws nails, lumber, etc.) And it is the same cost for every hour after.  For example:  If it takes  me  1.5 hours to do your work, then that is all you pay in time.  Similarly if it takes me only 1/2 hour to so the Job, there is still a 1 hour minimum.  But let us say that in the 20 years I HAVE BEEN IN BUSINESS, working for half an hour,  has happened only twice.  I still have to drive there and  then to the next customer or back to my office.  (the hourly rate does not apply to air-conditioners)

I make my money on the amount of time I am at your place, and if I am over 5 minutes into the next 1/2 and hour I charge for that 1/2 hour. I have a 5 minute grace period  and if I go 4 minutes over  there is no additional charge but if I go 6 minutes over  there is. It is very rare that this happens but it does from time to time.    I start a digital timer when I arrive at your place and the time starts from then if you have not arranged for a place for me  to park,  and I have to spend time looking for a place, then you are charged for that too so place make sure you arrange parking. In most cases it is not a problem as I park in the customers driveway but if it is a building  in downtown then please arrange it.

I spend a lot of my money to make sure I am organized for you. I do not waste your time or hard earned money and the fact that I have been around for 20 years should say something to you.  I know what I am doing and I save you time and money in the long run.

If I need a helper, I charge 50.00/hr for my helper. This is especially good when things need to be put together and/or moved.

It is time plus materials, screws, nails silicone, whatever I use.  If I need to go to the store, I charge for that time too.

 

When parking in Downtown Toronto or any other city where I may be working
